MORSELS

By 10:39 AM

On a random note of a casual week day, team Artichoke gathered at Morsels to support the local couple chefs. One of them, chef Bryan, was also a former Artichoke team member.

It was a few minute walk from Rochor Centre. Hiding among the old shop houses of Mayo street, Morsels looks like an old Peranakan house. It does feel like a cozy home where you go back after work for a warm meal.

I have always enjoyed sitting at bar top, watching the chefs preparing food and listening to casual talks.

Everything was made from scratch. Crispy tortilla. Refreshing citrus yuzu. Full-of-senses squid ink risotto. Sweety comfy beef. Melt-in- your-mouth crispy skin pork belly by the sweet courtesy of chef Bryan. And finally, the light soft fluffy almond panna cotta dropped the last sweet note to complete this symphony of taste.

Panna cotta is the love of mine but almond is not. If only they had more than one dessert :) Maybe some chocolate souffle? nomnom

All was well-fed that day.

Thanks Morsels' team! And hope that everyone is well-fed every day. :)
